BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS

Overview

The Fine Arts Study Program was founded in 1976, and is a combination of the Painting Studio and the Sculpture Studio. Currently he has four main interests, namely Painting, Sculpture, Graphic Arts and Ceramics. The provision of education in order to improve the quality of the Teaching and Learning Process (PBM), is supported by several theoretical lecture rooms and laboratories/studios consisting of: Painting Arts Studio, Graphic Arts Studio, Sculpture Arts Studio, Ceramic Arts Studio and Multimedia Laboratory.

The Fine Arts Study Program curriculum is designed to anticipate developments and needs in society both locally, nationally and internationally, so that it can adapt to current developments. Since the beginning of 2000, Information Technology (IT) and Multimedia have become the basis for curriculum development while maintaining manual-conventional aspects and emphasizing the development of creative thinking patterns and potential.

Vision

To make the Fine Arts Study Program advanced, superior and trusted at the national and international level, in the science of fine arts and capable of maintaining, enriching various values, sensitive to changing phenomena that are based on national culture.

Mission

  • Organizing education and teaching that requires the development of professionalism of lecturers and students in acquiring knowledge, skills and attitudes.
  • Able to utilize Science, Technology. and Arts (Science and Technology) in their field of expertise and adapting to situations faced in solving problems, creating fine arts by utilizing science and technological products to improve the quality of fine arts, as well as transforming human values in fine arts.
  • Mastering the theoretical concepts of a particular field of knowledge in general and the theoretical concepts of a specific part of that field of knowledge in depth, as well as formulating procedural problem solving and formulating it into innovative works of art based on fine art studies.

Goals and Objectives

  • Have faith in God Almighty. Have good morals, ethics and personality in completing his duties. Act as a citizen who is proud and loves the country and supports world peace
  • Able to work together and have social sensitivity and high concern for society and the environment. Respect the diversity of cultures, views, beliefs and religions as well as other people’s original opinions/findings.
  • Uphold law enforcement and have the enthusiasm to put the interests of the nation and wider community first. Producing graduates with academic, creative and professional abilities in the field of art, independent, so that they are able to face developments z
  • Producing ideas and research, especially in the field of fine arts, for the development of education, research that leads to new discoveries in the field of fine arts, in order to face various problems both on a local, national and international scale.
  • Producing quality service works is based on the implementation of community service activities oriented towards empowerment and community welfare, especially in the dynamics of art.
